New Years and our Resolutions! 1/12/11

Well a new year is upon us which means making yet another New Year's resolution, embarking on new endeavors and starting off with a clean slate. We all have illusions of better things to come and we hopefully learned from the past year what we want and what we don't want.

So the question is....how do you make your resolution a reality? Often times we want to lose weight, quit smoking, eat healthier foods. Those are all great things to strive for but are we just talking and not doing?

Questions to ask yourself:

1. What was your biggest OBSTACLE last year?

2. What would you like to be your biggest TRIUMPH this year?

3. How will you go about getting to where you need to be?

Don't make this year's resolution go in 1 year and out the other!

BE REALISTIC IN YOUR GOALS....set your sights high but set your sights to where you can reach them!

Talk to your friends and family about what it is you want to achieve. There is nothing more REWARDING than moral support!

STICK TO IT
Experts say it takes about 21 days for a new activity, such as exercising, to become a habit, and 6 months for it to become part of your personality. Your new habits will become second-nature in no time. It is at this time you will need patience and persistence!

Lastly....KEEP TRYING
If you fall off the wagon don't sweat it...start over again! There's no reason you can't make a "New Year's resolution" any time of year.

Cheers to a New Year and another chance for us to get it right.
